Aurélien DUCROZ

Snow latitude, Sea longitude

Born in Chamonix Mont-Blanc, Aurelien Ducroz is, at 31 years old, quadruple Freeride Skiing World Champion in 2006, 2009, 2011 and 2015. Since 2008, he has been combining a double career as a skier and a skipper. Since his promising debuts in alpine skiing and then in ski jumping, which led him to compete in World Cup when only 15, he has managed to retain the self discipline that competing in national teams taught him.  A modern day adventurer, exceptional athlete, and father of two children, a boy and a baby girl, he combines these two careers with passion and dedication, while always looking for communal projects.

After only three years of sailing, Aurelien, after taking part in the most extreme solo transatlantic race: the Transat 650, participated in July 2012 in his first Class 40. In 2013, he finished fourth in the Transat Jacques Vabre alongside Yannick Bestaven (previous winner). And now, he devoted himself to the preparation of an old dream: the Vendée Globe 2016.
