Stephanie and Jeremie are ultra-distance runners. They began to run together on the HEC campus where they met in 2002. They got married and the virus of race has never left them. Road racing, a little trail and ultra-trail often, to try a different relationship to time and space. Because being on a starting line depends only on yourself. 42, 60, 100, or 200 kilometers, 2500, 4000, 5000 or 10,000 meters of elevation gain, they experienced classic trails and less traditional one – such as the North Pole marathon, in April 2013, this marathon around the geographic North Pole, by a temperature of -30 ° C.
Stephanie and Jeremie are also passionate about the polar regions, for their vastness and paradox – a sanctuary where nature reveals its tremendous power to those who venture and yet is so fragile. Their interest in the polar regions has led them to Greenland, Spitzbergen, Antarctica, the North Pole. Still appealed to these countries, an attraction that Jean-Baptiste Charcot termed strange, so powerful, so tenacious, only after returning, we forget the moral and physical fatigue to think only return to them.
Stephanie and Jeremie ended January 27, 2015 the expedition ACROSS ANTARCTICA 2014 – the crossing of the Antarctic continent on skis via the South Pole: 2045 km in 73 days, 15 hours and 35 minutes. This is the longest crossing of Antarctica via the South Pole on skis without kitesurf, the longest ski expedition to Antarctica by a woman without kitesurf, the first French ski crossing carried out in a single season and the first crossing of Antarctica in couple.
